Format: This standard indoor WA Indoor Star FITA tournament will consist of 60 arrows shot in 3 arrow ends using two lines of archers (AB/CD) and two minutes per end. Archers have the option to sign up to shoot a second 60 arrow flight with ONLY the archer's higher of the two scores being used for awards. USA Archery membership is required to participate in this event. Visit www.usaarchery.org for membership information. Awards will be presented immediately following the final flight's scorecard entry on Sunday afternoon (estimated 5:30pm).

Registration: Registrations will only be taken online and are not complete without payment. No walk up registrations will be accepted on the day of the event unless prior arrangements have been made. All flight times are first come, first serve and registration for any time will close when it is full. Register early to ensure you get your first choice. Registration will close Tuesday, February 11, 2020 or at the tournament director's discretion.

Check-In: No formal check in is needed, however please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your first shoot time for bow inspections. Lane assignments will be posted at the range.

Practice: Two official practice ends will be held at the start time of each flight immediately before scoring begins. No additional practice will be available.

Rules:  This tournament has been sanctioned as a Star FITA event meaning world records can be set in addition to national, state, and local ones. All FITA/World Archery rules and regulations will apply. Archers shooting two flights can set records as a double event. USA Archery rules and dress code will be in effect. Dress code will be strictly enforced (closed toed shoes, no camo clothing, shorts and skirts must be mid-thigh length, no tank tops, no ripped clothing, etc). Go to www.usaarchery.org for full details. All USA Archery regulations including arrow diameter and draw weight limits will be enforced.

Awards:   The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday afternoon after the last flight's scorecards are recorded. We estimate that will be around 5:30pm, but it could be a little earlier or later depending on how the flight goes. We'd love to have everyone attend the awards ceremony, however we know some will not be able to make it back to collect their award. If possible, please arrange for a friend who does attend to collect your medal for you. All other unclaimed medals will be mailed to the address used in your registration.

Food/Drinks: No food or drinks is available on site. Limited fast food options and grocery stores are available about a mile and a half from the range, including a McDonalds, Subway, Wendy's, Waffle House, and Wing Stop. A Dominoes pizza shop is located in the shopping center across from the school. A gas station/convenience store is located on the same corner as the school, walking distance from the range. Water fountains (with bottle filler) are available in our staging room. Only drinks with sealable caps are allowed in the gym/shooting room. NO cans, fast food cups, or open topped containers. Please be very careful to seal your beverages when you are not using them so we avoid spills! Anyone with items that can potentially spill is asked to keep them in the staging room (old cafeteria).

Facilities: Our new indoor shooting space is in part of an old school that has been handed over to Chesterfield County Parks & Rec. We are hoping to make some changes to it in the future to make it into a better range space, but for now its just an old gym and we are sharing it with a local youth basketball team. Even so, we couldn't wait to share the space with you! Come see what we have and maybe even help make suggestions on the changes we make in the future!

Our new facility (still yet to be named) boasts a very large entry room - the old cafeteria - with ample room for bow case storage and tables for equipment set up. It also has full handicap accessibility, multi-stalled restrooms for men and women, and plenty of seating for archers and spectators. The entrance we are using is at the back of the school through the old cafeteria/staging room so be sure to refer to the map and directions for where to go.

The room can hold up to 12 bales for a total of 48 archers per flight, which is the largest indoor range in Virginia. We are currently using the same round American Whitetail bales as we do outdoors, with plans to upgrade those to indoor range matts in the future. We will have chairs for archers and use the gym's small bleachers for spectators as well as some extra chairs.

Parking: The area of the school we are using has a small parking lot accessed through a gated chain link fence. It can hold maybe 30-40 vehicles. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS. There is an additional larger parking lot on the other side of the school where you can park if the main lot is full. Please do not park in the small lot at the front entrance of the school.

Refunds: Your registration fee is fully refundable until 5pm January 31, 2020. If you need to cancel for any reason before that date please email us your request. After Jan 31 there will be no refunds for any reason, however you may transfer your registration to another archer who will take your spot. Please contact us at goldenarrowarchers@gmail.com to inquire about transfers.

Getting Here: Follow directions from the internet or your favorite GPS system to 4216 Beulah Road, Richmond, VA, HOWEVER, these directions will take you to the front of the old school, not to our range entrance. Parking nearest the range entrance is located around the corner from the front of the building off Hopkins Road and is limited to about 30 vehicles. Additional parking is available off of Brookshire Drive and will require a short walk on paved sidewalks to the range entrance. The range entrance is into the old cafeteria in the back of the old school off of Hopkins Road. Please see the map below for how to park and enter the building. Yellow arrows indicate driving, the red circled areas are parking, and blue arrows are walking paths. Signage and archery targets will be out to help point you in the right direction, too.
