Time: Opening ceremony and official round begins at 12:00pm, please arrive
at least 30 minutes early for check in and equipment inspection.
Location: “The Pit,” 13900 Hull Street Road, Midlothian, VA
Fees: $40 per archer, family rates available (see registration form below)
Questions: Melody Scott, goldenarrowarchers@gmail.com

Format: This tournament will consist of 72 arrows shot at a single distance (qualifying style round) in six arrow ends using two lines of archers (AB/CD). USA Archery membership is required to participate in this event. Visit www.usaarchery.org for membership information. Awards will be presented immediately following the event once all scorecards are verified.

Registration: Registrations will only be taken online through USA Archery's Sport80 portal and are not complete without payment. If you have trouble with the online registration system, please email goldenarrowarchers@gmail.com for assistance. No walk up registrations will be accepted on the day of the event.

Check-In: Although there is no formal check-in process, please find the DOS tent in the center of the range when you arrive to double check your lane assignment and be directed to equipment inspection. Please plan to arrive no later than 11:30am for equipment inspection.

Practice: We try to have the range open for unofficial practice from 10:30am to 11:30am, at which time the range will close so judges and officials can prepare for the tournament to begin. Unofficial practice is optional and subject to range and personnel availability and is not guaranteed. There will be two ends of official practice that will start immediately after the opening ceremonies and announcements at 12:00 noon.

Rules: All FITA rules and regulations will apply. USA Archery rules and dress code will be in effect. Dress code will be strictly enforced (closed toed shoes, no camo clothing, shorts and skirts must be mid-thigh length, no tank tops, etc). Go to www.usaarchery.org for details. Simple calculators are welcome during scoring, however no other electronic devices (including phones) are allowed past the waiting line.

Food/Drinks: No food or drinks will be available on site for this shoot. Several fast food and other restaurants, as well as a grocery store, are available in the area immediately surrounding the venue, a short drive away. Please bring plenty of water, there is no running water on site to refill water bottles.

Facilities: No seating is available; please bring your own folding or camp-style chair for all archers and spectators. No pop-up canopies for spectators please unless rain is expected – there are trees for shade which create limited space for canopies. Archers may use a pop-up canopy but should be willing to share their tent with other archers since there's only so much room in the line. Spectator space is somewhat limited due to the trees, please plan your personal belongings accordingly and be courteous to other families. Several Porta-johns will be available on site, there is no running water. Our field is located down a small embankment which may pose some trouble to those with limited mobility or in wheel chairs. We will make every attempt to accommodate and assist those with special mobility or accessibility needs. If assistance might be needed, please contact the tournament host before registering.

Inclement Weather: Archery generally takes place rain or shine. However, if severe weather strikes before the tournament start time and is expected to last most of the day, the tournament may be postponed until Sunday, June 9th. If severe weather happens any time after the scoring has already begun, the shooting may be delayed and/or ended early depending on the judges’ and officials’ safety determinations. No refunds will be given for delays or early finishes once scoring has begun.

Refunds: We are sorry but no refunds can be given for any circumstances. You may be able to transfer your registration to another archer shooting the same bow type and distance. Please email goldenarrowarchers@gmail.com for transfer inquiries.
